Stabilization of Graphite Nitrate through Intercalation of Organic Compounds

New thermally stable graphite intercalation compounds were obtained via additional intercalation of a series of organic compounds into graphite nitrate. An explanation for stabilization that involves hydrogen bonding between the protonated modifying organic compound and neutral surrounding molecules was proposed.
