Photochemical Synthesis and Spectral Properties
of ZnO/Cu and ZnO/Ag/Cu Nanoheterostructures

Photoreduction of Cu2+ on the surface of ZnO nanoparticles and ZnO/Ag nanostructures was investigated and spectral properties of ZnO/Cu and ZnO/Ag/Cu composites as a function of reaction conditions was studied. It was shown that ZnO/Ag nanoparticles posess increased photocatalytic activity in the process of Cu2+ ions reduction as compared with individual ZnO nanoparticles.
