Macrokinetics of Chemical Processes on Porous Catalysts
Taking into Account Anomalous Diffusion

An analysis of macrokinetics taking into account that mass transfer is caused by anomalous diffusion is
performed. In this case the "reactiondiffusion" equations are written in terms of fractal derivatives. It is
shown that the rate of the process depends on the chemical rate constant in a scaling way for the inner dif
fusion regime. Contrary to the case of the classical diffusion, the effective activation energy is defined as
E_{k}/γ, where 0 < g < 2, and E_{k} gives the activation energy of the chemical reaction. The classical case cor
responds to γ = 2.
