The method of modification of the surface of metallic gold based on the self-organization of macrocyclic
nickel(II) complex bearing thiol substituent is proposed. The effect of inhibition of biological activity of by
immobilized complex is estimated. It is shown that such an approach could be used for construction of sen-
sitive sensor elements able to detect both small molecules (thiocyanate ions) and albumen substrates.
