Interrelation between Structure and Sorption Characteristics
of Mesophase Alkylpiridinium-Containing MCM-41 Materials

Under the studied conditions for synthesis of mesophase materials, with the increase of the length of alkyl
radical of alkylpyridinium halides the density of packaging of their molecules in packet micelles also in-
creases. The differences in the packaging density of the molecules of these surfactants essentially stipulate
the degree of perfection of the hexagonal structure and the features of sorption properties of the resulting
mesophase MCM-41 materials.
