Influence of the Content of External Acid Sites in PdHZSM-5 Catalyst
on Its Activity and Selectivity in Hydroisomerization of n-Hexane

The dependence between external acidity and catalytic properties of zeolite PdHZSM-5 (Si/Al = 21) in hydroconversion reaction of n-hexane was studied. It is established that decrease in the contents of the ex- ternal H-sites on 5-9 μmol/g leads to 18-19 % increase in conversion and decrease of selectivity of the catalyst on products isomerization on 47-70 % at 548 K. The explanation of the effect of essential influ- ence of the external H-sites on activity and selectivity of the catalyst is offered.
