Isomorphous Incorporation of Silicon, Aluminium and Titanium
into Germanate Zeolite IPC-3

Zeolite IPC-3 isostructural to germanate zeolite ASU-16 and its Si-, Al- and Ti-forms were synthesized us-
ing 1,6-diaminohexane as a template. The possibility of selective incorporation of this elements into differ-
ent crystallographic positions determined by the nature of the element, in particular by the valence and the
characteristic coordination number by oxygen, was shown. It was established that Si occupies the tetrahe-
dral positions in the IPC-3 framework, Al occupies octahedral or tetrahedral positions and Ti occupies
octahedral ones. It was shown that small quantities of lithium cations favour the tetrahedral coordination
of Al and increased its content in the IPC-3.
