Micellar Catalytic Effects in Oxidation of Methylphenyl Sulfide
by Hydrogen Peroxide and Peroxohydro Carbonate Anion

Kinetics and mechanism of oxidation of methylphenyl sulfide by hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by bicarbonate ammonium were studied. The main parameters of the catalytic process - binding constants of Н2О2, HCO4- anion and the substrate by micellar surface, and second order rate constants in oxidation of methylphenylsulfide in micellar phase - were determined from the pseudophase model of micellar catalysis.
