Time Dependence of Activity and Selectivity
of Cobalt-Containing Catalyst in the Fischer-ropsh Synthesis

The increase of working time of the catalyst causes the change of surface concentrations of different in- termediates.The catalyst activity decreases, mainly, due to diminishing of metanation rate. The chain growth probability through alkyl intermediates increases and the contribution of the secondary reactions to the process decreases. Thus the selectivity on 5+ hydrocarbons is increased, but the contents of these products in 2+ fraction is diminished.
